1/350 scale ENTERPRISE AIR WING CANOPY DECALS Provides simulated canopies in dark gray for 40 aircraft of 9 different types, eliminating the need for tedious hand paint of canopy frames. Order Number LP-350-5D Price: $5.00

1/350 WW2 USN Aircraft Decals: A single 10" by 4" sheet that contains hundreds of markings in full color including national insignia in four sizes (24", 36", 48" and 60" diameters) and for five historical periods (pre-WW2 to 1942, 1942 to June 1943, June 1943 to Oct. 1943, Oct. 1943 to 1947, and 1947 to present day (these latter being intended for modelers building Essex-class ships in Korean war configuration.) Total number of all national insignia in all sizes and eras: 532. Also on the sheet are alphabet letters in one size (24" high) and numbers in two sizes (24" and 36" high) with both printed in two colors: black and white. Five alphabet sets are white, two are black, and all are 24" high. There are 42 sets of numerals from 1 through 0 provided; twenty sets are 24" high and 22 are 36" high with half printed in white and half in black. White "NAVY and "MARINES" markings are supplied, too; 34 36" NAVY's, 12 48" NAVY's, and 22 36" MARINES'. A small number of other useful markings are also provided. Up to ten aircraft in each era's markings can be equipped with this decal; in some cases, twenty or more can be outfitted depending on aircraft size. 1/350 WW2 USN Carrier Decals:Two 9" by 4" sheets that contain large black numerals for the flight decks of World War Two U.S. Navy Fleet Aircraft Carriers, particularly Yorktown and Essex-class ships. The decal provides numbers in the following quantities: 1 x 4; 2 x 4; 3 x 4, and 4 through 0 x 2 each. Also supplied are the following ships' names in black: Lexington (two names provided), Saratoga (two names provided), and one sample each of Wasp, Yorktown, Enterprise, Hornet, Essex, Intrepid, Franklin, Ticonderoga, Randolph, Bunker Hill, Hancock, Bennington, Boxer, Bon Homme Richard, Leyte, Kearsarge, Antietam, Princeton, Shangri La, Lake Champlain, Tarawa, Valley Forge, and Philippine Sea. All decals are printed in flat black with the deck numerals having flat clear carrier film over the color image areas only. All numbers have correct configurations and sizes based on study of aerial photos of actual WW2 USN carriers. WARNING! The large flight deck numbers have been designed to eliminate the clear carrier film effect from the hollow areas of the numbers and this makes the decal numerals EXTREMELY delicate after they have been dipped in water. To avoid problems, allow the image to thoroughly loosen from the paper backing sheet and slide the image VERY GENTLY using small movements onto the plastic model's surface. Make certain the model's surface is thoroughly wetted before attempting to slide the decal onto it or tearing and fracturing may result. USN Nuclear Carrier Decals:A decal set comprising two 4" by 10" sheets printed in six colors: (black, white, red, yellow, blue, and green) plus clear, that provides the following markings:

FOR ALL SHIPS: Eight red warning circles in two sizes for rotating weapons mounts; twelve bomb jettison ramp markings for flight decks; assorted awards with hashmarks in full color and in three sizes for bridge wings; assorted sets of campaign ribbon groups in full color; national ensigns and jacks in both straight and "windblown" formats; yellow & red flight deck elevator and ordnance elevator striping; white and red forward flight deck striping; Underway Replenishment markings in several styles for elevator edges and nearby superstructure areas; ten sets of underwater hull draft markings in black & white; 18 sets of Flight Deck Electrical Power Hatch striping; numbers for Tow Tractors in two sizes;

Naval Style Propellers

When ordering propellers with reference to direction of rotation, please remember L.H. (Left Hand) propellers turn anti-clockwise and R.H. (Right Hand) propellers turn clockwise when viewed from astern.

As a general rule, single screw ships have a right-hand propeller. However, some continental-built ships may have left-hand propellers due to the direction of rotation of some of their diesels.

Twin-screw ships nearly always have outward-turning propellers at the top when in ahead mode. This is because outward-turning propellers are more efficient than inward-turning props.
