SHIPS PLANS:

We carry a large selection of ships plans, which are grouped by series. Each series of plans are ideal for the model builder. Some series show full interiors as well as the exterior. Please read the series description to see if they fill your needs.

PLANS WANTED

Do you have a set of "Official Plans", Archives Micro Film/plan? We are always looking to add more plans to add to our collection. We want "Booklet of General Plans" and any other Navy or Official plans. We would like to make copies of them and make them available to other model builders. Please send us an email to let us know what you have and terms.

"TFW" Series

THE "TFW" SERIES OF PLANS ARE HIGHLY DETAILED PLANS DRAWN WITH THE MODEL BUILDER IN MIND. EACH PLAN CONTAINS ALL VIEWS AND DETAILED INFORMATION FOR THE MODEL BUILDER.  DRAWN BY TOM WALKOWIAK.

"Bu" Series

The "Bu" Series of plans are copies of the Navy's builders plans.  Besides BB, CV, CA, CL, DD, SS, Landing, Patrol.......it also covers ship's boats, deck equipment & catapult.

"G" Series

The "G" series plans are copies of US Navy "Booklet of General Plans". These plans show both interior and exterior views. A few of the original plans have been re-drawn by us due to poor reproduction quality of the original and some interiors are omitted. These plans can be used to build a model or use for research projects. The date listed is the last date the plans were corrected.

"GQ" Series

These are re-drawn "Booklet of General Plans". All exterior views and items have been added, however all INTERIORS are omitted. Each drawing is ideal for the model builder. Please the codes to see what views are with these drawings. For drawings without Hull Lines see our HULL LINES SERIES.

"SUMRALL" “RS” Series

The Sumrall line of plans were drawn by Robert F. Sumrall in the 1960's and early 70's. These are basic plans that are for the model builder. NOT all plans contain Hull Lines. A notation in the plan description fill indicate this.

"CHESLEY" “D” Series

These plans were drawn by Mr. Alan B. Chesley, and are highly detailed. These plans are well suited for the model builder, and contain all views needed to build a detailed model.

"Q" Series

These highly detailed plans are re-drawn from official US Navy builders plans. They do NOT show interiors.

"NAVY MODEL PLANS" Series

These basic model building plans were issued in the late 1940's and 1950's for model builders. These are basic drawings with some detail missing.

"R.K. McCANDLISS" “M” Series

This series of plans are drawn by Mr. Robert K. McCandliss, a long time warship plans draftsman. These are complete sets geared for the model builder. All show Profiles, Deck Views, Hull Lines, Bridges, Superstructure Deck. All of these plans are in 1/8"=1' (1/96) scale AND SHOW THE SHIP AS BUILT.

"MISCELLANEOUS" Drafters

These drawings have been drawn by various draftsman and fill the void for various warships. All of these plans are much like the "TFW" series of plans.

"T & SUB Series"

The "T" series plans are exterior PROFILES and/or OVERALL PLAN VIEWS. These drawings were produced for various publication illustrations. These can assist the model builder who needs additional drawings were no other exist. Also ideal for the former crewmember who only need the OUTBOARD PROFILE. All have been drawn by Tom Walkowiak.

"HULL LINES"

Plans for building a hull.

"FOREIGN SHIPS"

Drawn by various draftsman and are like the TFW series of plans.
